Celebrate Recovery
Real Hope for Real Life
Do you have trouble setting limits for yourself?
Do you sacrifice your identity, desires or needs to make others feel good about themselves or to keep the peace?
Do you struggle feeling safe when you aren’t in control?
Do you raise your voice to get your way?
Do you act kind on the outside, but feel bitter on the inside?
Do you use food, sex/pornography, relationships, alcohol or drugs to cope with life’s problems?
Do you struggle with your body image?
Do you love someone struggling with destructive behaviors, such as pornography, drugs or alcohol?
Do you live with someone who abuses you physically, sexually or emotionally or feel the continued effects from past traumas and abuse?
In a complicated world full of temptations, hurts, and countless opportunities to just "tune out," we need a real faith to deal with very real problems and struggles. If you see yourself in the questions you just read, Celebrate Recovery is a place where you can belong, regardless of your struggles or your past.
At Celebrate Recovery, real life change occurs through the use of time-tested principles based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. These principles provide healing from hurts accumulated over a lifetime and freedom from destructive behaviors.
If all your pursuits to find life and to cover up your pain have only led to more pain and emptiness, maybe it's time to consider a different path. Join us as we "recover" the real life Jesus Christ always promised.

The Path for Real Life Change
Over 2,000 years ago, Jesus Christ taught the most famous sermon ever...the Sermon on the Mount. In this sermon, recorded in chapters 5-7 of the book of Matthew, Jesus laid out the path for life change. The Principles of Celebrate Recovery are based entirely on these teachings of Jesus:
Realize I’m not God. I admit that I am powerless to control my tendency to do the wrong thing and that my life is unmanageable.
"Happy are those who know they are spiritually poor." (Matthew 5:3)
Earnestly believe that God exists, that I matter to him, and that He has the power to help me recover.
"Happy are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." (Matthew 5:4)
Consciously choose to commit all my life and will to Christ’s care and control.
"Happy are the meek." (Matthew 5:5)
Openly examine and confess my faults to myself, to God, and to someone I trust
"Happy are the pure in heart." (Matthew 5:8)
Voluntarily submit to every change God wants to make in my life and humbly ask Him to remove my character defects.
"Happy are those whose greatest desire is to do what God requires." (Matthew 5:6)
Evaluate all my relationships. Offer forgiveness to those who have hurt me and make amends for harm I’ve done to others, except when to do so would harm them or others.
"Happy are the merciful. Happy are the peacemakers." (Matthew 5:7,9)
Reserve a daily time with God for self-examination, bible reading, and prayer in order to know God and His will for my life and to gain the power to follow His will.
Yield myself to God to be used to bring this Good News to others, both by my example and by my words.
"Happy are those who are persecuted because they do what God requires."(Matthew 5:10)
This Path Wasn’t Meant to be Traveled Alone
Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 tells us that “two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor. For if either of them falls, the one will lift up his companion. But woe to the one who falls when there is not another to lift him up.” In Celebrate Recovery, we understand that real life change occurs in a safe community where we share our personal brokenness and our hope found in Christ. That’s why each member of Celebrate Recovery is encouraged to develop a support network consisting of friends in recovery (we call them accountability partners) and a mentor (which we call a sponsor). Opportunities to develop a support network occur during our small groups, step studies, and fellowship events.
